Alumni Information

Welcome to the Purdue University Libraries’ Alumni Resources page! We are pleased to see that you’re interested in re-connecting with the Libraries even though you are no longer a current student at the University. The Libraries offer several services to Alumni:

  • Please see this page for information about obtaining a library-issued visitor borrowing card.
  • There are a number of electronic resources (databases) licensed by the Libraries that include access for Libraries’ alumni. Please see this page for details. If you haven’t created a Purdue for Life account before, you can do so by clicking on the “First-time log-in?” link on that page.
  • The Libraries have also highlighted a number of freely available databases on its A to Z database list .
  • Alumni and visitors have access our licensed online resources from guest computers in on-campus libraries. Guest computers are located in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education (HSSE) Library, Mathematical Sciences Library, Veterinary Medical Library, and the Library of Engineering and Science. Please note that guests do not have access to printing. However, they may save PDFs to cloud services like Dropbox, Box, and Google Drive. For additional assistance, please visit the information desk in one of these libraries.
  • Alumni who are residents of Indiana have access to INSPIRE, a collection of online academic databases and other information resources that can be accessed by Indiana residents. Access includes full-text magazine and journal articles, full-text historic newspapers, multimedia, and much more. Other states may offer similar services to their own residents.

Many Libraries services, spaces, and collections are supported by donations from alumni and other friends of the University. Please click here if you are interested in learning more about Libraries Endowments.
